Our welcome party and .tribe day party will be in Praia. Our beach day will take place in Tarrafal, about an hour's drive from Praia.

Fly into RAI-Nelson Mandela International Airport - Praia Cabo Verde

There are a couple of ways to get to Praia. ✈️

The quickest options are flying with TAP Airlines via Lisbon or SATA Airlines via Ponta Delgada. Both routes will bring you to the heart of Cabo Verde, ready for an unforgettable adventure!

We recommend booking your stay in Praia to make the most of your time on the island. On this page, we included a few hotel suggestions to get you started. Feel free to book directly through popular sites like Expedia, Booking.com, or any other platform you prefer.

The sooner, the better! Flights tend to rise in price as we get closer to summer, so if you're certain you’re joining us, we highly recommend booking your flight as soon as possible to lock in the best rates.

We would love everyone to see as much as CV has to offer. We recommed coming in a few days before .tribe and stay a few days later.

This will give you time to explore the island, visit historical flights, experience CV cuisine and soak up the sun. If you would like to visit addtional islands we suggest you stay for 2 weeks. We suggest visiting the island of Fogo, Sao Vicence or Sal.

If you're planning to join us for a week, we suggest booking from July 8th to July 15th. For a two-week adventure, consider booking from July 8th to July 22nd. Of course, feel free to book shorter or longer stays if that works better for you! We want to make sure your trip fits perfectly with your schedule.

Taxis are readily available on the island and are quite inexpensive, making it easy to explore at your own pace. If you prefer more flexibility, you can also rent a car. We’ll provide a list of recommended car rental locations to help you get around during your stay.

To enter Cabo Verde, you’ll need a valid U.S. passport. Good news – U.S. citizens do not need a visa for entry, as long as you have your passport ready!

Cabo Verde is known for its incredible food scene, and we’ve got you covered! We’ll be providing a list of recommended restaurants so you can taste all the amazing flavors the island has to offer. From local gems to must-try spots, we’ll make sure you don't miss out any.

Please note that Cabo Verde charges an approximate fee of $40 USD upon entry for travelers who do not have a Cabo Verdean passport. Be sure to have cash on hand for this entry fee when you arrive.

Most international carriers allow you to use your phone in Cabo Verde, but we recommend checking with your carrier before you arrive to confirm roaming options. Alternatively, you can switch to a local carrier once you land. There are usually one or two mobile service providers at the airport who can help you set up a new SIM card for local calls and internet access.

The official currency of Cabo Verde is the Escudo (CVE). We recommend converting your U.S. dollars to Escudos once you arrive for the best exchange rates. You’ll find exchange services at the airport and throughout the island.

Cabo Verde uses a 220V electrical system, so you’ll need a voltage converter to charge your phone or any electronics you bring. Be sure to pack one if your devices aren’t compatible with 220V outlets!
